DRP and TR Operators cooperating

DRP is independant and produces information on Saving Rates

TR Operators are eager to get more information from the domestic markets as competition is growing between TR and domestic chain stores. Trade rules now forbid the Brands to provide the market distributors with any SRP prices. As it formerly was easy for Airportshops to display TR prices versus Suggested domestic prices (SRP), it will now be more difficult for them to give proof of the expected Saving Rates.

DRP has developed a webbased technology enabling the brands and the operators to monitor their pricing levels and their competition. The DRP tool has been extended to the Wine/Spirits and Confectionery categories. Major operators have already confirmed their interest and are willing to participate in DRP's surveys. Traditionally reluctant in providing information, the TR operators are now aware of the benefits of sharing information. Airport owners (states or chambers of commerce) are requesting the TR operator to be competitive enough to attract increasing numbers of passengers and thus generate more income through TR sales. The DRP data engines have proved to be as powerful as necessary to run these new categories...
